Wedding details following
hi everybody.
Details were to follow, and so, as promised, here some of them are!!
We are getting married in Dawson Creek, at the Northgate Mennonite Brethren Church on June 17th 2006. You knew this already, but i thought i'd start with something that. So far, we've decided that we want as many live flowers as possible. Annemarie asked her mom if she would have flowers to use for the wedding. She answered, saying:
In answer to your question: the peonies are blooming, the pale pink and the deep red. They are vividly gorgeous. I have the most beautiful bouquet in the dining room right now. Also the white and purple irises. I've planted pink, white, and bright pink geraniums. I can try to over winter them and then they would be big and I can try to convince them to bloom at the right time. I did this one year with red ones. Also I thought of starting pansies in little pots for next year and then just leave them in the pots until after the wedding. There is a whole row of hostas on the east side of the house. They don't look that great now as they are splattered with house paint. But next spring I can dig them up and put them in pots until after June 17 and then plant them again. I'm not sure where I'll get all of these pots and if I scrounge up cheap ones we'll have to think of a way to cover them or something.
I am quite glad that she is excited and can start preparing things. I think annemarie's mom will be able to keep things undercontrol that we couldn't think of and thus we are happy.
I want to do fondu at the wedding, but there is opposition. we'll see what happens.
There's things that i could mention, but will just put them in a list to provide entertainment (these are not decided in any way. not much is.):
fire
horses
dresses
money
maribeth
rugs
windows
hotels
camping
registries
square dancing
'57 chev bellair
passing out
grandparents and inopportune phone calls.
that's all i can think of right now.
