chai, the sam way

1 litre water, on the stove on max.
Chop one "hunk" of ginger (1-2 inches) into thinnish bits (As thin as you can make them without concentrating) and drop into water.
1 Tbsp green cardamom pods, with green pods crushed but the black seeds still whole (I crush them with the side of a knife).
2-3 cinnamon sticks, also crushed lengthwise into little sticks. Not cut.
1 tsp+ whole cloves into water.
Add to water, bring to boil. Let boil for almost a minute.
Add 2-4 tsp loose black tea (depends on how strong of tea taste you want) to boiling water.
Prepare 1/3 c sugar, 2-3 cups milk (depends on desired strength and number of people).
Let tea boil for 30 seconds, but don't let it overboil. Stir a bit.
Add sugar, bring back to boil. Add milk, let sit on high for 30 seconds and then drop down heat to low-low-medium.
Let steep 10-20 minutes.
Strain gick, then drink!
So yummy.
