Choir Tour Recap

I’m back at CMU. After the bus got back at 11, Marbiff, Tobin, Erika, Jamie, Jeremy, and Gui Young went to grapes with me and we made fun of rudy and unwound for a long time. It was really good. Choir tour was lots of fun at times, and not so much at others. My billets were generally pretty good. Meribeth (my girlfriend's sister and my friend too) on the other hand was very unlucky with billeting. There was a toilet that she was expected to use last night that was a toilet surrounded by 3 plywood sheets and a door. There was thick shag on the floor, and the crowning touch was not one but two pictures of Jesus on either plywood sheet. So you could stare at Jesus while holding the door shut. The night before that she had six dogs and eight cats. One of the dogs was in heat. The towel that Rebecca used to wipe her face in the morning deposited a layer of cat hair in her mouth and all over her face. It was stellar. The night before that they forgot about her and so she ended up going home with a seventeen-year-old boy who’s parents were not home. (so they thought…..) Singing in my church was fun. And in my school and in Portage too because I knew people in all those places. Linda (the one whom we met at branigan’s) said she wanted to come to CMU to sing in the choir. I told her she would probably get in the good choir, and her jaw dropped because she didn’t know how people could be much better than us. I think that although we are pretty good in the eyes of other people, the people inside the choir know that we could be so much better, and that makes it really hard to sing for people. The bus was fun, we watched movies and things. Yahoo. I moved from the back to the front on the second day. It is much quieter at the front of the bus without engine noise or anything, but it is hard to sleep on busses. I remember it being much easier in CMYC but I can see how people can’t sleep on busses. The seats are terrible. I have knots up and down both shoulder blades. There are many funny rudy quotes. The one that was nice on the way home was “The choir really clumped together well in the end, like high quality cat litter.” In portage, rudy had Thomas up by the microphone (Thomas was holding the djumbe (and I don’t know how to spell that)) and rudy asked the school “what does Thomas have that I don’t have?” and a little kid yelled out “Hair” and it was funny. Anyway, I am rambling and will go to sleep momentarily. And no, I didn’t have anything to drink at grapes (except root beer and water)
